2020 LWML Rocky Mountain Convention

Due to recent concerns with COVID-19, the LWML Rocky Mountain District is closely monitoring the situation and its impact on our 2020 Keystone Convention in June. At this time, we are still planning to hold the convention. We know that many of you are concerned about attending large events and we will follow the guidelines of state and national authorities. The situation may be quite different by June.
In order to allow time to make appropriate decisions for all attendees, we will waive the late registration fee so that anyone who decides to attend the Convention can register without additional costs. We will also refund any registrations in full up to the time of the convention. We encourage anyone who is ill to not attend the convention.

Please know that we are taking this matter seriously. You are all in my prayers daily. Please continue to pray for our LWML Rocky Mountain District Executive Board and Board of Directors as well as those affected by the COVID-19 virus.

Ingathering (Gift Cards from the Heart)

Three ministries will be recipients of our 2020 ingathering: Lutheran Indian Ministries/Navajo Ministry; Lutheran Valley Retreat; and Ysleta Lutheran Mission/Human Care.

Here are some notes to help you decide what gift cards to buy.

  • Gift cards of any donation are welcome. Five and ten dollar gift cards can be given to a person needing help and larger gift cards can be used by the mission to buy their needed items.
  • There will be containers for each mission, plus a container for a combined donation that will be divided evenly between the three missions.
  • Costco, Home Depot and Lowes are also good places to buy gift cards, or buy nonspecific gift cards, e.g. Visa cards. (Navajo Mission doesn’t have a Costco near.)
  • Please write the amount of the gift on the card. It helps with counting.
